Bogotá's northern neighborhoods — where the clinic and recommended accommodation are located — are safe, walkable urban areas. Usaquén, Chico, and Chapinero Norte have international restaurants, specialty coffee, and a calm atmosphere. With your coordinator as a resource, solo travel is entirely manageable. The risk profile is similar to visiting Mexico City or Lima.
No. Your coordinator handles all Spanish-language communication — at the clinic, pharmacy, restaurants, and in daily logistics. All clinical documentation is provided in English. You can function entirely in English throughout your stay.
Your treatment is quoted and paid in USD. For daily expenses, Colombian pesos (COP) are used. USD is widely accepted at exchange in northern Bogotá, and ATMs are readily available. Xerenova recommends $200–$400 USD in cash for daily expenses, supplemented by a bank card. Notify your bank before departure.
On procedure days and the 24–48 hours following surgery, Xerenova coordinates soft-food meals — soups, yogurt, gelatin, smoothies, and soft proteins. Bogotá has excellent soups and soft Colombian breakfasts ideal for post-dental recovery. Your coordinator provides specific restaurant recommendations for your recovery phase.
Yes — and many patients do. Xerenova accommodates companions in all packages. Accommodation can include rooms or apartments for two. Companions can join Bogotá activities in the Smile & Bogotá and Smile & Colombia packages. Companion transport is coordinated at no additional charge.
Xerenova recommends confirming 3–6 weeks in advance for standard cases, and 6–8 weeks for full mouth rehabilitation. A refundable deposit holds your appointment. You book flight and accommodation after the treatment plan is finalized — so you know exactly how many days to plan.
