Bogotá's northern neighborhoods — where the clinic and recommended accommodation are located — are safe, walkable urban areas. Usaquén, Chico, and Chapinero Norte have international restaurants, specialty coffee, and a calm atmosphere. With your coordinator as a resource, solo travel is entirely manageable. The risk profile is similar to visiting Mexico City or Lima.
No. Your coordinator handles all Spanish-language communication — at the clinic, pharmacy, restaurants, and in daily logistics. All clinical documentation is provided in English. You can function entirely in English throughout your stay.
Your treatment is quoted and paid in USD. For daily expenses, Colombian pesos (COP) are used. USD is widely accepted at exchange in northern Bogotá, and ATMs are readily available. Xerenova recommends $200 to $400 USD in cash for daily expenses, supplemented by a bank card. Notify your bank before departure.
Your Airbnb fridge is stocked with approved soft foods before you arrive — yogurt, soups, smoothie ingredients, soft fruits, and soft proteins. After the first 48 to 72 hours, your coordinator sends a curated restaurant list and helps you set up Didi Food and Rappi for food delivery on days you prefer to stay in. Bogotá has excellent soups and soft Colombian breakfasts ideal for post-dental recovery.
Yes — and many patients do. All packages are priced for one patient. Companions are welcome and accommodation and daily transport are coordinated for two at no additional charge — the Airbnb already has capacity. Activities in Serenity and Nova may carry a small per-person cost for the companion depending on the operator. For the Nova package, the internal flight to Medellín is quoted for one — a second ticket is coordinated at the same rate, typically $80 to $120 USD additional. Ask us for a companion quote when you contact us.
